Privacy Policy

Taelim LLC ("Taelim", "we", "us") is an online AI education platform registered in the Sultanate of Oman operating taelim.om and all associated services.

By creating an account or using our services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

• Account data: name, email, password (encrypted), country, language preference.
• Learning data: courses enrolled, lessons completed, progress, quiz scores, learning time.
• Payment data: transaction amount, method type, and reference. We do NOT store card numbers — processed by Thawani, PayTabs, or Stripe.
• Usage data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited — via cookies and analytics.
• AI tutor messages: used to generate responses only, not to train AI models.

• To create and manage your account
• To deliver course content and track learning progress
• To process payments and issue VAT-compliant receipts
• To power the AI tutor
• To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, notifications)
• To comply with Omani legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

We share your data only with service providers required to operate Taelim:

• Anthropic: AI tutor messages sent to Claude API for response generation.
• Payment processors (Thawani, PayTabs, Stripe, Tamara, Tabby): card data processed directly by them.
• Hosting (Hostinger): website files and database.
• Email provider: for transactional and notification emails.

We may disclose data to Omani authorities if required by law.

• Essential cookies: required for login and security. Cannot be disabled.
• Preference cookies: remember your language and display settings.
• Analytics cookies: anonymous usage statistics. Opt out via browser settings.

• Access: request a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Correction: update inaccurate data via Profile settings.
• Deletion: delete your account and data (some retained for legal compliance).
• Portability: request your learning data in a machine-readable format.
• Opt out of marketing: unsubscribe via any email link or Profile settings.

Email privacy@taelim.om to exercise any right. We respond within 14 business days.

We keep your data while your account is active. On deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Transaction records are kept 7 years as required by Omani tax law.

We use SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmission, encrypted password storage (bcrypt), and strict access controls. If you suspect a breach, contact security@taelim.om immediately.

Taelim is for users aged 16+. We do not knowingly collect data from under-16s. Contact privacy@taelim.om if you believe a minor has registered.

We'll notify you of material changes by email and on-platform notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
